Haunted House 2008

The last three weekends of October we put on a splended House of fear. when it was all said and done, we had about 650 people go through, 13 of those people Peed their pants, 1 person craped their pants, and 3 children pucked.

The first weekend I worked in this hugh pile of leaves, I was a warewolf. I would pretend to be a manican and then when they would get closer to me I would howl and lung forward at them. There was this one boy who was going though and nothing seemed to bother him, that is untill he came to me. All of a sudden I jumped up and he
started screaming,
"MOM ITS REAL! AHHHHH oh my gosh oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh," over and over again. Nothing could make him move, Tom was in a nitch with a chain saw, and started revving it up, the boys mother and sister freaked and the mother hit the floor, but it was as if the boy didn't notice a thing.

The second weekend I worked in the cage with Joel. He is the master of fright! I love working with him, the reacations he gets out of people are so wonderful. This poor girl was so freaked out, her friend was having a wonderful time, then Joel looked at the girls and said "Do you know what is scarier then this? when I press this button and the lights go out like this"
As the nights passed by, we decided that we should do this one more night, because the next Firday was Halloween! so and encore was decided and we all volonteered for the challange. I have seen the fear this man is capabile of producing, and am striving to one day be more like him.

The last night, Halloween I worked in the Organ room! It was the first time I was given my own spot where i could do what ever i wanted! I had free riegn to do as I wished. And then it happened, I made an old lady pee her pants! all by my self! it was the highlight of my life. I now have the power to truly scare people! And I can't wait for next year!

Learing to shoot in the desert of Utah

In May I was in Utah visiting Kendall and his family. I had never in my life held let along shot a gun so Kendall being the dear that he is took it upon himself to teach me. We gathered eggs and charcoal and headed in his truck to the sand dunes of Oak City and our lesson began; I learned that I am rather a good shot, and that I can shoot well with both hands!

These Pictures were taken our second trip out with our Friend Ryan, who is quite the shot as well.  I am looking forward to more jaunts into the Desert to improve my accuracy!

Changing one World at a Time

Changing one World at a Time

A good friend of mine was going to an interview for a job as a armed car driver, when I heard this I warned him that people who do that job get shot and robbed all the time (I'm a worrier) He assured me that wasn't true. Later on in the conversation I mentioned that I ruled the world and everything in it. I was saying as a joke, he reminded me of my comment about armed cars. With out missing a beat I shot back, that I ruled the world, thou I don't control other planets. Well later on as I was thinking about this I realized that it was true, each and every one of us, are in control of our lives. Where we go, what we do. I is our choice to be the way we are. And it is also in our power to change someone's world. Sometimes you will only see someone once it their life time. So you need to always be prepared to '' change someones world'' you have that power, no matter who you are, or what you do. I know that as we go along in our lives, we become consumed with our own problems, and that we are worried about what we have yet to do, But if we but take a moment, and help someone else, or smile at someone, We could help them remember to be happy. Which in turn could change someone else's life. We must always be prepared to stand for our faith, so that in that moment, that one chance we have with someone, we are ready to change that life. All it takes is one smile, one good morning, one hug, to move a mountain in someones life.

I have made it a priority to always try to be happy, after a while I thought that it was pointless, as no one seemed to notice, or at least no one cared. So one day when I was having a so-so day I choose not to smile, I thought ''what the heck is the point. Well  while going about my work, one of the people I thought never notice me, called out and asked what was wrong. As I said nothing, they were surprised, and exclaimed how they  were glad nothing was wrong, it just seemed strange to them, that I wasn't smiling. At that point, I understood why I needed to be '' Christ like'' at all times, in all places, and in all things. You never know who is watching you. You may be the only member of our church that person will ever meet, so make sure you represent the Lords Church that way he would. Though we are not perfect, we should always be striving to become more like our bother Jesus, for one day when I am standing before the judgment seat of God, I want him to look back at my life and smile, knowing full well that I did everything in my power to do what was right.

I hope that from my thoughts you will be able to change what needs to be changed, live that way Christ would have you live, and love the way Heavenly father loves us all. For I know these things are true, That Thomas S. Monson is our Prophet today, and Joseph Smith restored the true church to the earth. I know that the Book of mormon is scripture translated by the holy spirit as another testament of Jesus Christ. And I say these things in the name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.
